Panama- The Best Secret of Latin America
The WPS is excited to host a poker tournament event in this exciting city for the first time in 2008. Panama is a wonderful country for tourists to visit and play poker. Larger in geographic area than Costa Rica, and with less population, Panama is the best-kept secret in the Americas.  It's a country that has all the natural resources you could ask for: numerous miles of virgin beaches, endless rainforests, secluded islands, and abundant plant and animal wildlife.

Panama City is the capital of the country and one of the more progressive cities in Latin America. It is quickly becoming the Las Vegas of Latin America, with large casinos throughout the city. Poker is played at many of these casinos, in particular at the Veneto Casino and the Majestic Casino. Playing poker in Panama is really a cultural experience.

Panama is the hub of aerial transportation in Central America with non-stop flights to most major North and South American cities. One of the major Latin American airlines, Copa Airlines, is based here.

One of the favorite walking areas of the city is El Cangrejo. This is a very convenient area with many restaurants, internet cafes, hotels, bars, and casinos. Other attractions include Casco Viejo (Old Towne), and of course the Panama Canal.

Tourists are treated with extra friendliness in Panama. Panama has an abundance of affordable restaurants in every cuisine imaginable. There are many activities available from Panama. White sand beaches are found 90 minutes from downtown, making it accessible for day trips or overnight stays.
